Dr. Mohammad Zahir Ayoubi

Kabul Medical University Alumni (1989)

Dr. Mohammad Zahir Ayoubi served as vice-president academic for four months when Kabul branch of the University was opened in Kabul. Later in 2011, Dr. Ayoubi was appointed as president of the University (back then, Ghalib Private Higher Education Institute) leading both Heart and Kabul branches of the university. In 2014 when the organizational structure of the university was reshuffled, he served as head of Kabul branch until he decided to resign in March 2015. Dr. Ayoubi has a Master’s degree in Medical Science. In the past he served as a lecturer at Kabul University of Medical Sciences where he was a member of the cadre of the university.

Since 1989, Dr. Ayoubi as served in the following positions:

  • Health Center Manager (Anardarah district, Farah province);
  • Basic Health Center Manager, Farah Provincial Public Health directorate;

  • Health Coordinator at Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (CHA), Farah Province;
  • Health Coordinator at Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (CHA), Herat Province;
  • Deputy Health Executive Director, CHA Afghanistan;
  • Coordinator Health Training Center, CHA Afghanistan; Herat Province;
  • Deputy Director for Health Training Center, CHA Afghanistan;
  • Deputy director for Capacity Building, Asma Educational Institute, Kabul;
  • Executive director at Nawa radio in Afghanistan;
  • First deputy executive director of Bakhater radio and TV station;
